Member Agreement

1. Welcome to the Muheeto Community
This Member Agreement ("Agreement") governs your participation in the Muheeto community. By creating an account, you agree to be a respectful, honest, and contributing member of your neighborhood on Muheeto. This Agreement works alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy — together they define your relationship with Muheeto.
2. Who Can Be a Member
Muheeto membership is open to residents of the United Arab Emirates who are at least 18 years old. Each member must verify their residential address to connect with their neighborhood community. You may only maintain one account, and it must represent your real identity. Businesses may create a separate business profile but may not use a personal account for commercial purposes.
3. Your Verified Identity
Muheeto is built on trust between real neighbors. You must use your real name and verify your residential address. Impersonating another person, providing false identity information, or using a fictitious identity violates this Agreement and may result in permanent removal. Your verified address is never displayed publicly — only your neighborhood name is shown to other members.
4. Community Conduct Standards
As a Muheeto member, you agree to: treat all neighbors with respect and courtesy, regardless of nationality, ethnicity, religion, gender, or background; keep discussions constructive and relevant to your community; resolve disagreements civilly and privately when possible; respect the diverse and multicultural nature of UAE neighborhoods; not engage in harassment, bullying, threats, or intimidation; not post content that is defamatory, obscene, or violates UAE law; not discriminate against or exclude any member; and not share another member's personal information without their consent.
5. Content Standards
All content you post on Muheeto — including posts, comments, polls, event listings, and marketplace listings — must be truthful, relevant, and appropriate for a neighborhood community. You may not post: spam, unsolicited advertising, or commercial promotions (unless through a verified business profile); misleading, deceptive, or fraudulent content; content that promotes hatred, violence, or discrimination; content that violates intellectual property rights; content that contains personal or sensitive information about others; or content that violates any applicable UAE law or regulation.
6. Marketplace Conduct
When buying or selling through Muheeto's marketplace, you agree to: accurately describe items and their condition; price items honestly and not engage in price gouging; complete transactions in good faith; not sell prohibited, counterfeit, stolen, or illegal items; meet in safe, public areas for exchanges; and comply with all applicable UAE consumer protection and commercial transaction laws. Muheeto facilitates connections between neighbors but is not a party to any transaction.
7. Events and Groups
When creating or participating in events and groups, you agree to: provide accurate event details including location, time, and any costs; not create events or groups for the purpose of harassment, discrimination, or illegal activity; respect group rules set by group administrators; and ensure all events comply with UAE regulations regarding public gatherings and activities.
8. Respecting Privacy
You agree to respect the privacy of fellow members. You may not: share screenshots or content from Muheeto to external platforms without the consent of the original poster; disclose another member's address, phone number, or other personal information; use information obtained through Muheeto to contact members for unsolicited commercial purposes; or stalk, monitor, or track the activities of other members.
9. Reporting and Moderation
Muheeto employs community moderation to maintain a safe and welcoming environment. If you encounter content or behavior that violates this Agreement, please report it through the app. We review all reports and take appropriate action, which may include content removal, warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent removal. We may also report illegal activity to UAE authorities as required by law.
10. Consequences of Violations
Violations of this Agreement may result in: a warning or educational notice; temporary restriction of posting or messaging privileges; temporary suspension of your account; permanent removal from Muheeto. The severity of the consequence depends on the nature, frequency, and impact of the violation. Serious violations, including threats of violence, illegal activity, or repeated harassment, may result in immediate permanent removal without prior warning.
11. Your Content and Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of the content you post on Muheeto. By posting, you grant Muheeto a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display and distribute your content within the Service. You represent that you have the right to share any content you post and that it does not infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.
12. UAE-Specific Provisions
As a community platform operating in the United Arab Emirates, all members must comply with UAE federal and local laws, including but not limited to: the UAE Penal Code regarding defamation, privacy, and public decency; the UAE Cybercrime Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 34 of 2021); the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021); Dubai-specific regulations regarding community associations and residential communities; and any applicable free zone regulations where relevant.
13. Changes to This Agreement
We may update this Member Agreement from time to time to reflect changes in our community standards, UAE regulations, or platform features. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of Muheeto after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Agreement.
