Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Muheeto application and website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United Arab Emirates to use Muheeto. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide during registration is accurate and complete.
3. Account Registration
You must provide a valid email address or UAE phone number and verify your residential address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately at support@muheeto.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Address Verification
Muheeto connects verified neighbors. You must provide accurate residential address information for neighborhood verification. Providing false address information violates these Terms and may result in account termination. Your exact address is never shared publicly — only your neighborhood name.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Muheeto responsibly and in accordance with applicable UAE law. You may not: post false, misleading, or defamatory content; harass, threaten, or abuse other users; impersonate another person or entity; use the Service for commercial spam or unauthorized advertising; scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service; attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts; post content that violates UAE law, including content that is obscene, promotes hatred, or threatens public order.
6. User Content
You retain ownership of content you post on Muheeto. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content within the Service. You are solely responsible for the content you post and must ensure it complies with these Terms and applicable law.
7. Marketplace
Muheeto provides a marketplace for neighbors to buy and sell items locally. Muheeto is not a party to any transaction between users. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of items listed. Users are responsible for conducting their own due diligence. All transactions must comply with UAE consumer protection and commercial laws.
8. Moderation and Enforcement
We reserve the right to remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines. We may also report illegal activity to UAE authorities as required by law. Moderation decisions are at our sole discretion.
9. Intellectual Property
The Muheeto name, logo, and all associated branding are our trademarks. The Service and its original content (excluding user content) are our intellectual property, protected by UAE and international copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
10. Disclaimers
Muheeto is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Service's reliability, accuracy, or availability. We are not responsible for the actions, content, or conduct of other users. Use the Service at your own risk.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by UAE law, Muheeto shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill.
12. Termination
You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases, and we may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, specifically the laws of the Emirate of Dubai. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through the courts of Dubai, UAE.
14. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
